Join us in this special annual event that celebrates the mission of Knoll Farm and raises money for the Better Selves Fellowships. We are thrilled to share music that uplifts diversity in sound and connects us through lively energy! We will enjoy an evening with opener A2VT and headliner The Bhangra Liberation Orchestra.

The Bhangra Liberation Orchestra makes rebellious and joyful music to fortify our hearts on and off the dancefloor. Rooted in the genres of bhangra, qawwali, Afrobeat, and jazz, BLO draws from Punjabi ancestral wisdom with a heavy dose of musical improvisation to deliver a clear message of love, unity, and liberation in these times of rising authoritarianism and attacks on the marginalized. Anthemic brassy melodies intersect with angular guitar lines, hype dhol beats, and ecstatic vocals in Punjabi, English, and Spanish. Based in New York City, BLO is made up of an all-star lineup of veteran musicians who have toured globally in bands like Red Baraat, Antibalas, Bright Eyes, Joe Russo’s Selcouth Quartet, Hazmat Modine, and Dispatch.

Representing Somalia, Tanzania and Burundi and currently living in Burlington, Vermont, A2VT synthesizes their native African musical and dance roots with Western pop and Hip-Hop sensibilities. Their songs, performed in several unique languages, reflect their journey from Africa to America, and celebrate the musical collision of two continents and the party that ensues!

If you would like to make an additional donation to The Better Selves Fellowships, you are welcome to do so here or via check made out to New Learning Journey, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and mailed to us at 700 Bragg Hill Road in Waitsfield Vermont 05673.

We look forward to dancing with you! Thank you.
