Tourism Industry Council Tasmania and Wine Tasmania invite you to their eighth annual BLEND Wine + Tourism event.
Our tourism and wine sectors have much in common and share aspirations to grow our value through increased yield, while fostering a global reputation for sustainability and quality built on the Tasmanian brand.
BLEND is about bringing our sectors together to talk wine tourism, grow connections and progress our shared vision for Tasmania to become Australia's premium wine destination.
BLEND Wine Tourism Workshop: Tassie Wine Goes Global, Cat Carey,

Our destination and experiences align with global trends, presenting an excellent opportunity for our wine tourism offering to grow further and stand out from the crowd. Come along to this practical workshop to learn about the experiences our visitors are seeking and how to position your business and wine tourism offerings for success. Faciliated by Wine Tasmania's tourism guru, Cat Carey of Think Tourism, this interactive workshop will provide meaningful insights on the value and importance of experiences in the global tourism landscape.

Join friends and colleagues from across the Tasmanian wine and tourism sectors for exceptional wine over fine conversation and delicious food. Hear from the CEO of Tourism Tasmania, Sarah Kingston Clark, on all things wine tourism including the latest consumer trends and visitation insights. With each table hosted by a local wine producer showcasing their exceptional wines, this is a lunch like no other.
Minimal formalities, maximum enjoyment of wine, food and company.

Cathryn (Cat) Carey, Think Tourism
Cat Carey has been engaged by Wine Tasmania in an export/tourism marketing consultancy role, via her business Think Tourism. In 2024, she finished up as Head of Partnerships and International at Tourism Tasmania, with direct knowledge of the UK, Singapore and other international markets. She has strong links into media/PR, Wine Australia, Tourism Tasmania and Tourism Australia contacts in international markets, and has been involved in previous Tassie wine events in Hong Kong, the UK, New York, Singapore and Korea.

Sarah Kingston Clark, CEO Tourism Tasmania
As the Chief Executive Officer for Tourism Tasmania, Sarah leads tourism demand, brand, aviation and the visitor economy strategy for Tasmania.
A born and bred Tasmanian, Sarah brings more than 20 years of global tourism experience to the role. She began her career as a tour guide with Topdeck Travel, working her way up to Global General Manager in London, she has been a part of global senior leadership teams across Flight Centre, STA Travel, and Intrepid Travel. Before being appointed Chief Executive in 2022, Sarah was Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Intrepid Travel, while also sitting on the Tourism Tasmania Board. She also currently sits on the boards of Business Events Tasmania and Brand Tasmania.
