Business Breakfast 2026: Creating a Climate of Opportunity

Join two of Australia's climate leaders, The Hon Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Climate Change and Energy and Mr Matt Kean, Chair of the Climate Change Authority, reunited in their current roles for a timely and critical conversation on the state of climate action in Australia. Environmental strategist and sustainability educator, Jo Taranto, will moderate the conversation.

This discussion will reflect on how far Australia has come since their last shared appearance at Business Breakfast 2021 and explore what’s next as we enter the new phase of the climate transition. This moderated conversation will explore: 

• The current state of play on meeting Australia’s emissions reduction targets 

• Opportunities for business in the next phase of the transition 

• Australia’s international climate commitments, including COP outcomes 

• How recent EPBC Act reforms may influence climate policy and delivery 

Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with leaders driving Australia’s climate agenda and learn what it means for business risk and growth.
