2026 CLAANZ Annual Conference - Towards Solutions: Pressing Issues in Charity Law

CLAANZ is delighted to announce the details of its annual conference in Sydney this year.

The 2026 conference will explore Towards Solutions: Pressing Issues in Charity Law and will be held over 1.5 days, commencing after lunch on Thursday 23 July with a dinner following networking that evening, and continuing to Friday 24 July for a full day. 

The program is being developed and will be available, along with conference information, on our dedicated conference webpage.

HOW TO SECURE A TICKET

1. Consider whether you need to renew your membership with CLAANZ

CLAANZ has moved to an annual membership model whereby renewal will occur at the end of each financial year, in the lead-up to the annual conference. Ad hoc membership will also be accepted throughout the year.

What this means for you: 

• If you became a member or renewed in the first half of 2026, there is no need to renew again now.

• All others, we kindly ask you to please renew your membership by choosing a membership option when selecting member-priced tickets. Your current CLAANZ membership will continue until 30 June 2026 so will need to be renewed for the conference.

• If you are not yet a member but would like to be, welcome!

• If you are not yet a member but would like to attend the conference, please choose a non-member ticket.

2. Choose a conference ticket

Tickets range in price for this hybrid in-person and online event. The total ticket price (in AUD) will include a small additional online booking fee via Humanitix which goes to charity.

Student concession tickets are for students enrolled at a tertiary education institution in Australia or New Zealand. There are also concession tickets for retirees.

Member pricing is offered to any organisations registering 10 or more people.

3. Secure a dinner ticket, if you wish Dinner tickets have now closed.

Please join us at Meat & Wine Co for a conference dinner to follow the first day of the 2026 CLAANZ Annual Conference. It is conveniently located only a minute's walk from Gilbert + Tobin in Barangaroo.

Conference delegates will need to purchase a dinner ticket through this portal, which is at cost price. Dinner will consist of two courses - entrees and mains - and each ticket includes a small amount to cover a drink or two.

Despite the restaurant's name, all dietaries can be catered for. Please advise of dietary requirements as part of the ticket registration and these will be shared with the restaurant ahead of time.

ACCOMMODATION

For those travelling to Sydney, we have negotiated discounted rates at a few nearby hotels. Please book yourself in to any of these, or your preferred other locations. We suggest booking early to ensure rooms at best rates remain available.
