Culture and Connection: Walkabout Australia Welcome Event
Description
We’re pleased to offer a free cultural immersion experience for Sunshine Coast students. This full-day program gives you the chance to learn directly from First Nations knowledge holders and custodians, explore the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, and deepen your understanding of Country.
You’ll take part in a traditional Welcome to Country and yarn, enjoy a guided bush walk, sample bush tucker, and join creative workshops including boomerang throwing and traditional painting. Learn your Australian animal during a fun identity workshop. You’ll be part of an experience that connects you directly with one of the world’s oldest living cultures in a remarkable natural setting.
