2026 DLC Volunteer Kickoff- Castle Rock
Description
We invite you to join us for one of our 2026 Volunteer Kickoff sessions, which will be held on 1/13 from 5-7pm in Parker, and on 2/25 from 5-7pm in Castle Rock. Your attendance and participation in Kickoff is crucial to get you engaged in DLC events and activities as a volunteer. As a reminder, current volunteers must attend a Volunteer Kickoff biannually as much has changed since your last kickoff session, and we need to establish a baseline understanding of the program information and policy changes that have occurred. Most of you first attended in 2024, so we expect to see many of you at the 2026 Kickoffs!
The agenda for our 2026 Volunteer Kickoff includes:
Introductions and Ice-Breaker
DLC’s Mission, Vision and Values
Overview of what Land Trusts are and how they work
DLC Events and Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Onboarding requirements
Next Steps
Mix & Mingle, get t-shirts
If it is not possible for you to attend either in-person gathering, a virtual opportunity will be provided on 2/26 from 5-7pm. If there are unique circumstances that prevent your participation in any of these Kickoff meetings, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Steve Fling, volunteer@douglaslandconservancy.org, for next steps.
DLC operates with just four full-time staff members. It is YOUR commitment and involvement as volunteers that allows us to offer the multitude of programs and events that we do. You are our “force-multipliers,” allowing us to scale our conservation efforts and community engagement. We could not be successful without all of you!
