This course will assist in applying principals of exercise training to complex cardiac cases and how to prescribe exercise for a variety of conditions

Content:

  • Demographics for CR and Heart Failure in Qld: registry data

  • Exercise for cardiac conditions: theory and practice overview

  • Cardio-Metabolic syndromes and exercise considerations

  • Heat intolerance and cardiac conditions

  • Exercise considerations for patients with dysautonomia

  • Pulmonary Hypertension, heart failure and exercise research

  • Cardiac rehabilitation participation among First Nations patients in QLD: registry data

  • CR rehabilitation in women

  • Ventricular Assistive Devices as destination therapy

  • Cardiomyopathies (myocarditis, pericarditis and cardiac sarcoid and amyloid): implications for exercise

  • Cases discussion with panel

Participants:

Suitable for physiotherapists, accredited exercise physiologists and nurses with experience or an interest in exercise training and cardiology.

Attendance - In person (complimentary carparking) or via webinar (recording will be available for all participants for 30 days following the course).
