Join us for the Facey Group 2026 Annual General Meeting, bringing members together to reflect on the year, hear key organisational updates and help shape the direction of Facey Group for the year ahead.
This year, we’re also pleased to welcome two special guest speakers from key agricultural research and development organisations – GRDC & MLA.
Hear from Berin Gibbons – GRDC
Berin Gibbons, Grower Relations Manager with the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), brings more than 30 years of experience across agriculture, agribusiness and agrifinance.
Alongside his grower relations role, Berin is GRDC’s national farm safety representative and sits on the Rural Health and Safety Alliance, helping guide collaborative R&D aimed at reducing deaths, injuries and illness while improving health and wellbeing across Australian agriculture.
With hands-on farming experience and a career spanning Rural Bank, Bankwest, Westpac and Agrimaster, Berin brings a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Australian farm businesses.
Hear from Dr David Beatty – MLA
Dr David Beatty is a veterinarian with a PhD and extensive experience in agricultural research. He is currently Meat & Livestock Australia’s Group Manager – Livestock & Land Productivity, based in Western Australia.
David leads R&D across key on-farm areas including beef, sheep and goat productivity, land productivity, livestock genetics and live export.
His career with MLA has also taken him internationally, including several years based in the Middle East managing livestock services and MLA activities across the Middle East and North Africa.
