Welcome aboard and thank you for joining us for another Trailsplus adventure.

We're absolutely thrilled to have you joining the Flying High Half Yarder, where every lap is another departure and every runner has the opportunity to become our Last One Flying.

Whether you've chosen Mystery Flight (10km), Domestic Flight (21km), Trans Continental (50km), International Flight (100km) or you've gone ALL IN for Space Travel, you've signed up for something completely different.

This isn't just another running event...

It's an adventure.

📍 Event Details

📅 Date: Friday 28th August 2026

🕖 First Departure: 7:00pm

📍 Location: Woodlands Historic Park
Merlynston Road, Greenvale VIC

Located beneath the northern approach to Melbourne Airport, you'll experience aircraft passing overhead while taking on Australia's newest endurance format.

⏰ Please Arrive Early

🚗 We recommend arriving at least 60-90 minutes before your scheduled departure.

This gives you plenty of time to:

✅ Park your vehicle

✅ Collect your boarding pass

✅ Set up your Event Hub

✅ Meet fellow runners

✅ Visit the toilets

✅ Relax before your first departure

The better organised you are before the event starts, the more enjoyable your night will be.

🏕️ Set Up Your Event Hub

One of the unique aspects of Flying High is creating your own Event Hub.

🏕️ Bring a chair and shelter

🧊 Bring your nutrition and drinks.

🧥 Bring warm clothing for your rest periods.

🔋 Bring spare batteries or power banks if required.

Your hub becomes your home between departures, so make yourself comfortable.

🔦 Don't Forget Your Head Torch

🌙 You'll be running in the dark.

A quality head torch is highly recommended and will make your experience significantly safer and more enjoyable.

Consider bringing:

🔋 Spare batteries or rechargeable backup

💡 Small lantern or light for your Event Hub

🚗 Parking

Please park carefully and follow all directions from our volunteer parking team.

🚙 Park only in designated areas.

🚫 Please don't block access roads or emergency vehicle routes.

Your cooperation helps us maintain excellent relationships with Parks Victoria, and Living Legends and ensures everyone has a safe event.

🍔 Food & Refreshments

🏡 The historic Woodlands Homestead operates during 9:00am – 4:00pm, so it won't be open during our Friday evening event.

Instead, we are hoping a selection of event vendors available throughout the evening to help keep everyone fuelled. ( NOT YET CONFIRMED )
