2026 Gingin Art Exhibition - REGISTRATION

🌟 Get Ready for the Gingin Art Exhibition - over 3 days for 2026! 🌟

We're thrilled to invite you to this exciting event in the beautiful rural town of Gingin. Mark your calendars for Thursday, 8th to Saturday, 10th October, 2026, and join us for an unforgettable celebration of creativity and talent.

*Entries close on the 25th of September at 4pm AWST. Please ensure you are correctly registered by that date.*

Big News for 2026 - artwork will be displayed for 3 Days

• Categories which are eligible for a prize of $1000:

  • Drawing: includes Graphite, Pastel, Pencil, Pen or ink on canvas or other surfaces.

  • Painting: includes artworks created using various mediums such as oil, water colour, acrylic or mixed media on canvas or other surfaces.

  • 3D: three-dimensional artworks. They can be made from materials like wood, metal, stone, or clay, and may range from figurative to abstract forms.

  • Digital Art & Photography: can include black and white or colour prints and may involve digital manipulation or traditional darkroom techniques.

In addition, the following prizes will be awarded to artwork that qualifies

1. Depict Gingin Award $1500: is given to artwork that’s title & subject reflect Gingin in content. NOTE: this is open to any artist.

2. Gingin Residents Award $500: awarded to the best artwork by a resident of the Shire of Gingin.

3. Shire of Gingin People's Choice Award $250: selected from all categories and voted by visitors to the exhibition.

• Hanging Requirements: Any artwork that is not freestanding must include securely attached hanging cords or wires attached prior to delivery. Artworks that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.

• Entry Conditions:

  • Each artist can submit up to three pieces.

  • The exhibition requires a minimum of 50 entries to proceed.

  • Artworks must be delivered to the Granville Civic Centre, Weld St, Gingin, on Monday, October 5th, 2026, between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

  • Unsold artworks can be collected at

    • 7:00 PM Saturday 10th October after the 'Canvas & Cabernet' Presentation evening.

• or Sunday, October 11th, between 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

• or Monday, October 12th, between 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM.

• Artwork prices must include a 22% commission for event organizers.

• Requirements (have these ready when completing Registration): You’ll need to upload:

1.                  For Gingin Local Art Award eligibility Proof of residency is required i.e. a drivers license or utility bill with your name and residential address in Gingin.

2.                  When you have completed your entry, email a photo to crc-service@gingin.net by 25th September 2026.

3.                  Please provide a brief interpretation of your submission in 50 words or fewer, highlighting its meaning, inspiration, or intended message.
