2026 Health Beyond Research and Innovation Showcase
Welcome to the Health Beyond Research and Innovation Showcase 2026!
Harnessing health and medical research, clinical innovation, and emerging technology to improve service delivery and clinical practice, greatly improves health outcomes. When our research reflects the diversity and needs of our region, it leads to health evidence-based solutions and innovations that are inclusive, culturally-responsive, and meaningful for all.
Our Health Beyond Research & Innovation Showcase is returning in 2026, to be held on 15 and 16 September at the Liverpool Catholic Club.
A joint initiative by South Western Sydney Local Health District and Ingham Institute for Applied Medial Research, the Showcase is a great opportunity to connect with healthcare leaders, colleagues, universities, research partners, and the next generation of health researchers and innovators all in one place.
This year’s Showcase will have a particular focus on ‘Prevention’, highlighting how research and innovation can proactively reduce disease burden, improve population health outcomes, and strengthen system sustainability.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity!

Want to submit an abstract or find out more?
We’re taking abstract submissions from people interested in delivering an oral or poster presentation at the Showcase. Abstracts close on 31 May 2026.
We’re looking for strong ‘prevention-focused’ research, innovation or quality improvement projects aimed at reducing the disease burden and debilitating impact of chronic disease on our community, today and in the future.
