Built in 1813 as a refuge for vulnerable girls, the Female Orphan School has lived many lives, from institutional care to psychiatric use, reflecting the evolving story of Australian society.
Today, it stands as a place to reflect on history, challenge perspectives, and explore the ideas that shape our future, as the home of the Whitlam Institute.
