Rewind, restore, reconnect.

Press “play” on Pacific history at the Pacific and Regional Archive for Digital Sources in Endangered Cultures (PARADISEC) Open House. Explore rare recordings, manuscripts and cultural treasures from across Oceania, discover how digital repatriation is helping communities reconnect with their heritage, and watch history come back to life through live digitisation demonstrations.

From reel-to-reel tapes and audio cassettes to field notebooks and photographs, go behind the scenes of one of the world's leading archives of endangered languages and cultural knowledge. Learn how PARADISEC is using innovative technologies, including Raspberry Pi-powered community archives, to make collections accessible in remote regions across the Pacific—rewinding the past, preserving it in the present, and sharing it with future generations.
