WEBINAR ONE

From Policy to Play: The 'How-To' of Inclusive Sports Programming

Presented by Michael Woods & Anna Walker from Inclusive Sport Design

What to expect:

Over the last 15-20 years, Australian sports organisations have built strong diversity policies and raised awareness. But for many sports administrators, the biggest hurdle remains: how do we actually deliver inclusive participation on the ground?

Increased investment and community expectation brings greater accountability for effective, measurable and sustainable outcomes. This webinar introduces a clear, no-fuss framework designed to bridge the gap between policy and participation. Whether you are designing a brand-new participation initiative or auditing an existing one, this session will give you the practical tools to drive real engagement.

What We’ll Cover:

The Practical 'How-To': Move past high-level strategy and master the core elements of inclusive participation program delivery.
Streamlined Planning: Learn an exclusive methodology to review, design, and optimise your community sports programs.
Targeted Impact: Discover proven ways to reach and engage traditionally marginalised, excluded, or disadvantaged groups.
Equip your organisation with the framework needed to meet your inclusion and engagement goals and ensure that everyone—regardless of background—gets the chance to play.

Still to come:

July - Participation Models and Choice
Exploration of flexible participation models that respond to varying interests, motivations and life stages.

August - Co‑design in Practice
Practical approaches to embedding lived experience into program design and delivery to improve relevance, reach and retention.
