FOOD and DRINKS
New 2026! This year a catered style dinner buffet will be offered in the outdoor covered area behind the Pavillion from 5:30 - 7:30. Dancers can go through the buffet line that will include two types of smoked meat and a vegetarian option for sandwiches, a salad, two sides (beans/slaw/potato salad/etc.), a desert (cookie or brownie), and lemonade/water. Payment by card will be collected in the covered area. No more order and wait at the restaurant!
TICKETS
The Pavillion is limited to 150 persons and the last four nights in 2025 sold out in advance. We encourage advanced ticket reservations to ensure you don't arrive at the door disappointed to a sold out dance.
Consider a season pass for discounted ticket prices. Season passes are priced 25% off general admission for a total savings of $45. Season passes are transferrable. You can transfer your ticket to a friend, or donate it back to allow someone on a wait list to enter in your place.
U21 are FREE thanks to our generous sponsors. Even thought U21 do not need to pay admission, they must still have a ticket to enter. This ensures we do not exceed the building capacity. Free tickets for U21 guests can be reserved through the ticket site, just like a general admission ticket.
Once a ticket is purchased, QR Codes will be emailed. Present the QR code or your name at the Pavillion door for admission.
Tickets will be sold at the door until the dance is sold out.

10 June - Back Country (Country Swing) _ Dance lessons by Michaela and Michael Steed
Lizzy Plotkin, Sam Steele, Jordan Brandenberg and Matt Shugert make up the Gunnison Valley's "Back Country". Together as friends and musical comrades, they make a sound that resonates with this mountain place, draws inspiration from the rough and tumble landscape, and is influenced by the oldest and most trusted songs. You'll be dancing to their fresh sound that is driven by familiar vocals, exuberant fiddle, driving mandolin and beautiful dobro all leaning into the steady beat of the upright bass.
17 June - Polka Poyo (Polka + New Orleans Blues)_Dance lessons by Michaela and Michael Steed
Polka Poyo is what a polka band should be in the 21st century. It is built on the "ompah band" foundation of sousaphone (tuba), accordion, drums, and horns, but then enriches the genre with a heavy influence of New Orleans style jazz, waltzes, classic American songbook, and even some punk rock. Polka Poyo features Jon Hickam on Accordion and vocals, David Alderdice on percussion, Jeannette Carey on Sousaphone and vocals, and uses various local horn players. They are available for Oktoberfests, community dance events, and other celebrations throughout Western Colorado.
24 June - Big Silly String Band & Andrea Early Coen (Square Dance)
Square dances start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. Matt Lackey, Lizzy Plotkin and Matt and Madeline Shugert make old-time stringband music that will keep you dancing all night long. Joined by the best caller 'round these parts, Andrea Earley-Coen, they play raucous renditions of traditional Southern Appalachian fiddle tunes that have been danced to and enjoyed for more than 100 years.
1 July - Highway 82 (Country Swing + Line Dance) _ Dance lessons by Michaela and Michael Steed
Haggard, Waylon, Dwight. A rich voice, the twang of electric guitar and steel, a rolicking piano and pulse of bass and drums. Old songs, favorite songs, new songs. Played for the love of it all. The Highway 82 Band formed in 2018 with the band members Jeff Pogliano, vocals and acoustic guitar; Jesse Graber, bass and vocals; Dan Rosenthal, drums and vocals; Eric Gross, keyboards and vocals; and Carly Rose, vocals and flute. Highway 82 plays a blend of Classic Country, Country Rock and originals with fiery interplay between electric guitar and keyboards.
8 July - Gypsy Jazz Social Club (Swing)_Dance lesson by Michaela and Michael Steed
Mysterious... yet strangely familiar, Gypsy Jazz Social Club showcases their take on acoustic jazz and swing styles including Latin, Gypsy, Bebop, traditional and original music. Each GJSC line-up is drawn from a consortium of Colorado’s Western Slope musicians with a history of diverse musical projects and instrumentation. The Line-up: Les Choy “El Chino”- guitar, voice, Band Director; Erin Geye;-Saxophones; Jon Hickam- accordion, mandolin; Kevin Donovan- upright bass; Brett Darby Price- drum set.

29 July - Cryin' Shame (Two-Step)_Dance lessons by Michaela and Michael Steed
Cryin’ Shame draws a straight line from the rugged canyons of the Colorado Western Slope to the swinging doors of Nashville’s Lower Broadway, capturing a sound defined by high-altitude grit and high-lonesome tradition. Their music is rooted in the isolation of the American West, carrying the echoes of mountain rivers and dusty mesas into the sharp, electric atmosphere of a traditional honky tonk. This is an authentic revival of country music’s most lonesome elements, delivered through sets of classic outlaw country, No-Depression Americana, and original songwriting. Each performance carries the weary perspective of the road and a deep reverence for the three-chord truths that bridge the gap between the Rockies and Tennessee.
5 August - Opal Moon Band (Country Swing)_Dance lessons by Michaela and Michael Steed
"Opal Moon" is a long-standing "Countrycowhulabillyblues" band, providing classic and original Honky Tonk style to dance floors across the Gunnison Valley. Dancer oriented tunes for your toe-tappin', two-steppin', waltzin', jitterbuggin' and/or boot scootin' needs!
