2026 Spooky and Horror Stories Sundowner

Dare to spend an evening immersed in eerie tales and hauntingly good writing?

Where the veil between reality and fiction grows thin, and words come alive with a life of their own. Join fellow lovers of literature and all things otherworldly as we gather to celebrate spooky and horror stories, and the incredible talent of this year’s Youth, Teen and Open category winners!

The evening will begin with the Youth and Teen category awards, with stories read by the first place, second place, and Shire of Mundaring award recipients. There will be a break for some light refreshments, plus anthology purchases (Youth and Teen only). Then the Open category awards will be presented, with stories read by the first and second place award recipients, followed by more food and drink.

Join us for this opportunity to mingle and congratulate the shortlisted and winning entries. Whether you’re a horror fan, a fellow writer, or just in it for the thrills, there’s something for everyone… if you’re brave enough. 😱
