Welcome to the third wildflower walk for the 2026 spring season.

WHERE DO WE MEET?: From the Wallangarra end of the park, we will follow Mt Norman Road and meet at the Mt Norman Day Use Area at Girraween National Park. We will divide into groups and each group will follow their leader along the walk.

WHERE WILL WE GO?: Our third walk will follow the Mt Norman track. There is so much to see along the Mt Norman track, it will make for a very interesting walk. Our walk will end at the base of Mt Norman itself, where we can stop for a bite to eat prior to ambling back to the car park.

HOW EASY IS THE WALK?: Whilst most of this walk is on a formed track, there is some walking over uneven ground and granite slabs requiring walkers of moderate fitness and ability.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE: We usually walk for 2-3 hrs but people can turn around to return to the cars at any time.

WHAT DO I BRING?: Smoko or lunch, a hat, sunscreen, appropriate footwear, water bottle, insect repellent, a jacket (the weather can change unexpectedly), camera, binoculars, identification booklets.

WHAT CAN I READ?: Several Granite Belt flora publications will be available for purchase prior to the walk commencing.

ARE TOILETS AVAILABLE?: There is one drop toilet at the Mt Norman Day Use Area, which you can use at the beginning and at the end of the walk.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS?: No dogs, no smoking, no motorbikes and no littering.
