Entry instructions

Mobility access Adelaide Convention Centre is a mobility friendly and wheelchair accessible venue. All levels in the building are accessible via lifts and escalators. In addition, there are several external lifts that provide access to the Centre from both North Terrace & the Riverbank Promenade Entry to this event is via the Main Entry - which is most easily accessible from North Terrace, which offers a lift, in addition to an escalator.

After entry instructions

Once inside the venue - all event spaces are on the ground level and movement between the spaces are entirely step free. From the entry area at Foyer G, you turn back into Foyer H to access the marketplace area in Halls K and J, which is an open plan design. From the marketplace area in Halls K and J, there is a wide entrance to halls F, G and H - which is where the breakfast takes place.

Hazards

This is a large event for 3000 people, so some crowding can occur, particularly before and after the performances and breakfast takes place.

Toilet location

Accessible toilets are located throughout the Centre & strategically placed directly adjacent to event spaces across all three levels of the venue. Accessible toilets are compliant with accessibility standards, at the time of construction.

Accessible parking

Riverbank Car Park - has accessible car parking on all levels close to lifts. Accessible from Morphett Street and Montefiore Road Bridge via Festival Drive, the Riverbank Car Park is located directly under the Centre and offers 400 car spaces with a height clearance of 1.95 metres. North Terrace Car Park - has accessible car parking on all levels close to lifts. Accessible from North Terrace, our North Terrace Car Park offers 300 undercover car spaces and direct lift access to the Centre’s main entrance. The height clearance is 2.0 metres, the slightly taller of the two.

Signage & Announcements

• Digital signage is located throughout the venue to provide direction to guests visiting the Centre. • Braille is on standard room door signage & can be arranged in event spaces. • A hearing augmentation system (hearing loop) is available upon request. Please email events@reconciliationsa.org.au if you would like to use this. • An audible PA system is installed throughout the Centre & used in the event of an emergency. Centre team members, in their role as Fire Wardens, will assist people with a disability. • Clearly identifiable exit signs are also located throughout the Centre

All speeches and performances are accompanied by an AUSLAN interpreter for this event.
