Before COVID, The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort was home to some of our most memorable Big Island Chocolate Festivals and in 2027, we’re returning!

Now in its 14th year, the Big Island Chocolate Festival returns April 29–May 1, 2027, with a sophisticated new theme: ✨ CHOCOLATE ROYALE ✨

Think Casino Royale meets Hawaiʻi, James Bond sophistication with an indulgent chocolate twist.

Picture a sultry evening of black, gold and rich chocolate tones, dramatic lighting, lush tropical greenery, elegant florals and touches of casino-inspired glamour—all set against the stunning backdrop of Hapuna Beach.

And the attire? This is your invitation to turn up the glamour. Think Bond-worthy resort elegance: sleek cocktail dresses and gowns, tuxedos and sharp suits, sophisticated aloha wear, black and gold, jewel tones, tropical prints elevated for an evening affair—and maybe a little 007 intrigue. 🍸

Chocolate Royale will bring together Hawaiʻi’s incredible chefs, chocolatiers and cacao community for a weekend celebrating flavor, creativity, sustainability and community, culminating in our signature Chocolate Royale Gala on Saturday, May 1.

🌱 Chocolate Farmers Market (Friday): Free to Attend

Vibrant, daytime marketplace dedicated to celebrating cacao, chocolate, and the farmers, makers, and artisans who bring these creations to life.

🍴 Chef Demonstrations & Tasting Experiences (Saturday):

Join award-winning chefs and chocolatiers for live demos and hands-on culinary sessions that turn chocolate into art.

🌺 Festival Gala Fundraiser – Saturday, MAY 1: Indoor & Outdoor Event

Indulge in all-you-can-enjoy sweet & savory tastings from 15+ chefs and student chefs, sip on curated wines, Kona Brew Beer and mocktails, and sway to island rhythms under the stars.
