Come join us for a FREE virtual community screening of the film 2040 in Murrindindi Shire

Director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) embarks on a journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream.

Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.

This community screening is being co-hosted by the Y Water Discovery Centre, Murrindindi Climate Network and the Embassy of Ideas.

The event has been made possible by support from the Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning (DELWP).

Participants who register will be given access to a unique link to watch the film at their own leisure in the comfort of their own home for a limited 3 day period from Friday 14 August until Midnight Sunday 16th August.

Please note there will be one link per household

We ask that you indicate at the time of booking the number of anticipated people who will participate in the screening in your home.

Bookings close at 5pm on Monday 10 August.

NOTE
Please be advised when you register, your email address will be shared with regional DELWP staff and 2040 for the purposes of generating a unique weblink for the film which will be emailed to you prior to the screening dates.

Following the film screening you will be contacted to invite you to participate in the Climate Ready Hume survey, which will support DELWP to collect community feedback to inform development of the Hume Regional Climate Change Adaptation Strategy.
