20th anniversary of the Kaurna and Dorrit Black Buildings

2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the Kaurna and Dorrit Black Buildings at UniSA’s City West Campus. In celebration of this significant milestone, coinciding with the final year of UniSA as we know it, an event will be held to honour the legacy of these iconic buildings, foster knowledge exchange, and strengthen connections across disciplines and sectors.

In a wide-ranging discussion celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Kaurna Building, UniSA Adjunct Professor John Wardle will present some of the planning and strategic moves involved in the design of the UniSA's expansion to City West. John will revisit the ideas of placemaking, architecture, urban design and the lineage this remarkable building has created. There are stories to share about the characters, the design, construction and occupation of this cherished building.
