Gaining your driver’s licence can open up new employment opportunities. This course supports you to understand the road rules so you can successfully pass your learner’s test and increase your employment options.
Prepare yourself for work, build your confidence and learn the correct and safe sequence of driving a car - from the moment you open the car door to when you finally arrive at your destination.
The course topics include:
- Understanding of key SA road rules
- Registration with the My Ls platform
- Practical basic car maintenance (tyres, fluids, service intervals and pre-drive inspections)
- Understanding of how a driver's licence links to employment
- Understanding of role and cost of RAA Roadside assistance
- Minimising the risk of an accident and general road safety
- Updating your resume to ensure work readiness

We will assess your reading and numeracy skills before you start to identify any supports you may need, and to be sure that this is the right course for you.
