The 24 Hour Improv Marathon

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Get ready for a massive event as the brave improvisers of Rising Arts' 'Room for Improvment' hit the stage for 24 straight hours of improv comedy to support the mental health charity Black Dog Institute.

22 shows over the span of 24 hours will be performed featuring some of the best and brightest improvisers Wollongong has to offer, but only the bravest of comedians will dare perform for the entire stretch. Our 24 Hour marathoners this year are: Alex Cuff, Jen Guerrieri-Cortesi, Jarrod Riesinger, Dash Rule, Sam Sweeting and Bradley Ward. All six will be facing extreme tiredness all for a good cause as we attempt to raise money and awareness for mental health.

Featuring a return to a lot of classic shows (such as Fiasco and Improv Comedy League) as well as a host of new formats created for the marathon (including improvised Star Wars, a parody of Family Feud and a show revolving around performing Wollongong's secrets), you won't want to miss this huge comedy event. You can check out a brief description of each show in the tickets section. A more in-depth marathon guide is in the works so keep your eyes peeled.

To donate to the Black Dog Institute and support our performers, click HERE or buy yourself a ticket to the marathon. All proceeds will go directly to the Black Dog Institute.
