Event description

Our basic bike maintenance course is led by Helen Turinsky, and covers safety checks, how to look after your bike, how to remove a wheel, fix a puncture, replace brake pads and do basic brake adjustment and chain repairs. Helen says: "If you’re a little nervous about going on a bike repair course, then this is the course for you.” The basics course costs $45 and is over three weekday afternoon sessions. 

Places are limited to six per course and participants are welcome to bring their own bikes to work on. Classes are held at Bike Hub Nelson, 142 Saxton Road, Saxton Field, Stoke.

Classes are held 1:30pm to 3pm on Monday 26 August, Monday 2 September and Friday 6 Sept, 2024.
