31st CSAA Conference
Event description
The University of South Australia’s Creative People, Products and Places Research Centre (CP3), in collaboration with the Cultural Studies Association of Australasia (CSAA), is proud to host the 31st CSAA Conference from 5-8 December at UniSA City West Campus, Tarntanya/Adelaide.
This year’s face-to-face conference theme is ‘Culture in Practice’.
Keynote speakers include Professor Justin O’Connor, Professor of Cultural Economy, University of South Australia; Professor Sandy O’Sullivan, ARC Future Fellow, Department of Indigenous Studies, Macquarie University, Sydney; Susan Stryker, Professor Emerita of Gender and Women’s Studies, University of Arizona; and international guest Professor Anja Schwarz, Professor of Cultural Studies at the University of Potsdam, Germany, whose visit is generously supported by the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Registration pricing and conditions
Early-bird registration prices are available until 31 October 2023 (11.55pm). All efforts have been made to keep registration fees as low as possible to encourage attendance.
The registration fee includes GST, a 2024 CSAA membership fee, daily catering and a Thursday evening social event. The small Humanitix booking fee supports children’s charities.
Please note your registration is fully refundable 7 days prior to the event starting, which is when we finalise catering orders and other logistics. Cancellations after this date cannot be refunded.
