Event description

The 35th NSW Environmental Education Conference will be the premier opportunity in 2022 for environmental and sustainability educators to network, connect, learn and share ideas and inspiration. 

The Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE) NSW has a long history of successful, well-attended and engaging conference events. The 2022 conference is co-hosted by the NSW Chapter of AAEE and the Central Coast Environmental Education Network (CCEEN) and supported by the Community Environment Network, Central Coast Council, Rumbalara Environmental Education Centre, Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre and the University of Newcastle. 

The conference is a 2.5 day event that includes plenary sessions, concurrent sessions, field trips, networking events and the announcement of the 2022 NSW Environmental Educator of the Year Award. 

The key themes of the 2022 conference are sustainability, conservation, biodiversity and climate change and the sessions will be inclusive of education delivered in formal and informal contexts from early childhood through to primary school, high school and tertiary settings as well as community education. 

The conference is catered to delegates from a range of sectors including community educators, local, state and federal government agencies, schools and early learning, universities, NGOs, business and industry. Students and young adults are encouraged to attend and participate. 

** TOURS - Once you have purchased your tickets, you will receive an email inviting you to to book a ticket for the tour you wish to attend (one only), including those with the full cost included in ticket price. Tours will run concurrently on Saturday 23 April 1 - 4pm**

Please note: All social event tickets (Welcome function and Conference dinner) are to be selected separately to the full 2.5day conference tickets unless booking using the Package tickets option. If using packaged ticket option, please continue to book tour places as well.

2. Refunds are available at the discretion of the Event Organiser

5. Proof of concession card may be requested.
