    Event description

The 36th Annual Homebirth Australia conference is an opportunity for homebirth professionals, birth enthusiasts and home birthing families to meet, network, learn and connect.

The theme for our 2024 conference is 'Culture, Community and Connection'.

Following on from the 2023 Sydney conference (which was our first in-person conference since 2019), it didn’t take us long to decide on the theme for the 2024 conference. Many attendees at last year's conference spoke about the strong sense of community and connection that they felt. We felt it too, and we feel it every time we attend a local homebirth meet up in our communities or deliver a meal to a new mama to nourish her through her postpartum.

Culture, Community and Connection are such important aspects of homebirth that we want to bring to the forefront next year, as our conference heads back to its roots and centres women as the experts and champions of birth.

We are so pleased to welcome Jerusha Sutton back as our conference MC. Jerusha is a homebirth mama, doula, birth photographer and one of the makers of the film 'Birth Time'.

Our popular conference workshops will run on Saturday the 9th of November - tickets to be purchased separately. We also have our Community Day on Saturday the 9th - which is an exhibition style event for anyone interested in natural pregnancy, birth or parenting.
Our conference will run on Sunday the 10th and Monday the 11th of November, single day tickets are available. We also have our conference dinner on Sunday the 10th - not to be missed! You don't have to attend the whole weekend, flexible ticket options are available.
