Is it Magic? No, it's 3D printing, but it's close enough. This course will teach young minds how to bring the creations of their imagination into life, and help to open up new pathways into CAD and STEM.

Students will design, and create their very own Air Hockey Finger Game! This will be made out of lasercut MDF as well as 3d printed parts. Students willl get to keep their creations after the workshop!

Run over 3x afternoons, each session will focus on a different aspect of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and manufacturing (3D printing and laser-cutting). While the workshop is a continuous experience, each of the sessions can be attended as an individual workshop (separate tickets available). Suited to kids who are beginners and intermediate-level with CAD design, kids will start by working on the basic skills needed to model dice, vases and gift boxes, and demonstrate how to work and use 3D printers for future creations. This workshop is suitable for kids aged from 7-14!

The CAD software that will be used is Onshape - free to use, browser-based CAD software (please create an Onshape account before the session). No prior experience is needed. If there are any issues with an account, you can contact us through email at hustontinko@gmail.com.

BYO Laptop with Fusion 360 Installed
Computer mouse (recommended)
Lunch/snack and water bottle
