Travel instructions

Our walk will be held in the heart of the Rotorua Lakes District, between Lake Rotorua, Lake Okataina and Lake Rotoiti. From Tikitere, follow SH30 to Ruato Bay and turn into Lake Okataina Road. We will meet at the Outdoor Education Centre car park.

Hazards

Tree roots on walkway, muddy/slippery areas (especially after rainfall)

Toilet location

Public toilets are available opposite Lakes Lodge at Lake Okataina, a 5min drive down Okataina Lake Rd.

Accessible parking

Generally plenty of parking available
