Welcome to Helltown, a weekly comedy show case featuring the best local and professional comedians from across the country. Each week Bombs Away! Comedy presents 3 featuring comedians and 1 headliner, all of whom are comedians we love and can't wait for you to see. If you have ever wanted to say "I saw them when" this is your 'when'.

Headliner Chris Alan

Featuring Jerrel Beamon, CJ Buckles, and Chris Weir

Chris Alan is a stand comedian and writer. Chris' conversational yet laid back style coupled with his quick wit keeps audiences on their toes. He's performed at Rogue Island Comedy festival, DC Underground Festival, among others. He's appeared on Laughs on Fox. He hosts a podcast called Negro Please Radio. He's currently touring clubs and venues across the country.

Hailing from Dayton Ohio, Jerrel Beamon has been performing stand up comedy since he was 16. Jerrel's young in the game but has already made some big milestones. He's been a 3 time finalist in the Wiley's Comedy Club Fireworks Competition ; he's opened for Desi Banks, Darren "Big Baby" Brand, Tony Woods, The Original Lakeside, and J Anthony Brown. Bob Sumner, the co-creator of Def Comedy Jam, produced his first upcoming Half Hour Comedy Special coming out later this year. Jerrel has also performed at the World Famous Apollo Theater all by the age of 21. You can also listen to his podcast "Unk & Nephew Podcast" w/ his co-host Raymond Jackson.

CJ Buckles came to Cincinnati a few years ago and started performing standup last summer during the Funniest person in Cincinnati competition. She’s appeared in shows throughout the Cincinnati area since starting her new comedy career. Music teacher by day, comedian by night, she brings a touch of relatable feminine humor to the stage.

Chris Weir is a former winner of the Funniest Person in Cincinnati Contest. He’s opened for Tom Segura, Nikki Glaser, and Chad Daniels. He can be heard on Sirius XM, Spotify, and Audible. Chris is also a member of the sketch comedy group “Future Science.” He can be seen later this month at Chameleon on the 16th & 17th. Why Helltown?

In the late 1800s, our beloved community of #Northside45223 was nicknamed Helltown, because of the immigrant and unwelcome population and its rowdy bars. It was seen as a negative moniker. At Bombs Away! We believe that the unwelcome, the rapscallions, the neer-do-wells and the rowdy taverns are what make Northside home.

Time - 6:00PM/5:00PM Doors & 8:00 PM/7:30PM Doors

Tickets - $10, Reserves your seat until 10 min before show time. If you have not arrived or contacted us before this time your seat may be given to someone on the wait list.

Your tickets are available for refund up to 24 hours before door time of listed show. Bombs Away! Comedy will allow transfer of ticket to a future show as available if you are unable to attend or your ticket is not eligible for refund. The Venue - Helltown - A Comedy Showcase takes place at Bombs Away! Comedy club inside The Comet in Northside. The Comet is a legendary dive bar in the Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Comet has a full service bar, as well as a full kitchen featuring tacos, massive burritos, and the best queso dip in Cincinnati. 4579 Hamilton Ave. is the address for The Comet and Bombs Away!
