The Zonta Club of Cairns is delighted to be celebrating 40 years of service and advocacy to the local and international community.

Members past and present, sponsors, partners, recipients and friends of the club are invited to celebrate our Ruby event at the Holiday Inn Cairns Harbourside.

Guests will receive a drink on arrival, and enjoy finger food and music.

Zonta International partners with the UN agencies, UNFPA, UN Women and UNICEF to support projects focused on issues related to health, education, equality and human rights, economic empowerment, gender-based violence, child marriage, human trafficking and safe cities. Zonta Cairns efforts raise valuable funds that allow the club to support our commitments to our local, national and international projects. In the coming Biennium, we have committed to support the following projects: Ruth’s Women’s Shelter, Warringu, The Women’s Centre; MAR Inc. and Angel Babies; CWA Bushfire Relief and the club’s ongoing Service commitments to McGrath Foundation – Breast Care cushions, Birthing Kits – BKFA and Days for Girls; and Scholastic Encouragement Awards contributing to tertiary education of very deserving Year 12 girls with a strong interest in school and community.
