Event description

In recognition of International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day, Wednesday, October 15,  the African American Breastfeeding Network (AABN) and Redefining Life Services is hosting it's 4th annual Wave of Light at Alice's Garden, 2136 N. 21st Milwaukee, WI, 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Wave of Light is a global ceremony that recognizes and honors those who have experienced loss due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, sudden infant death syndrome, abortion or infant loss. The event is held annually on Oct. 15, International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.  

During Wave of Light  'expression of memory' families share their feelings about their own loss, and attendees will create a Luminary Lantern that will light-up a path at Alice's Garden to show collective support and recognition.
