Join Jacob & Nicholas for their 4th Annual 4th of July Yoga Retreat, where they invite you to celebrate this holiday weekend in a whole new way! Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Stonehedge Gardens, located just outside of the Poconos in Tamaqua, PA, this retreat promises an unforgettable experience of connection, liberation, and rejuvenation.

This year, we’re doing things a little different… So, whether you're seeking a day of fun with friends or a deeper immersion with yourself, you can choose between our Day Pass or Full Weekend Retreat to celebrate this 4th of July weekend!

What to Expect?

Thursday: 4th of July Celebration

We kick off the holiday weekend with a vibrant mini-festival open to all. Begin your day with an early arrival to connect with the earth and prepare for a nostalgic journey into the heart of good old-fashioned fun & community spirit. Jump into some cooperative field games and relay races reminiscent of carefree summer days… Then, bask in the sunshine as fan-favorite jazz-folk-Indian fusion band Gaia Raga takes the stage for a live music performance.

Savor the taste of freshly baked wood-fired pizza made on the spot by Massamiliano, paired perfectly with mocktail elixirs that will quench your thirst and tantalize your taste buds. As the sun begins to set, it's time to lose yourself in the exhilarating rhythms of Ecstatic Dance, guided by Dj Sylo… Dance under the stars and feel the FREEDOM of expression coursing through your veins! To wrap up the evening, we gather around the crackling bonfire to share songs and stories together.

Friday-Sunday: Yoga Retreat *4th of July Celebration included*

As the sun rises on Friday morning, our retreat transitions into a more intimate and introspective space. Throughout the weekend, we will explore grounding practices like Kriya Yoga, Meditation, Prayer, and Sound Healing to develop a sense of inner silence and independence. To balance it out, we will also be guiding you through playful practices like ecstatic dance, cooperative games and group exercises to explore our interdependence with one another to foster a deeper connection with yourself and others. In the evenings, we gather around the bonfire for special guest acoustic music, fire spinning, and storytelling, creating cherished moments of connection and camaraderie.

Our motivation for curating this retreat is to guide you towards a new level of inner and outer freedom. Whether it's finding peace amidst chaos or expressing your true self authentically, this retreat offers a sacred space for self-discovery and growth. Meet The Facilitators:

Jacob and Nicholas have been friends since 1st grade and began teaching yoga together 8 years ago. They are equally passionate and dedicated to sharing the profound practices that have birthed an enthusiasm and inspiration for life wherever they go!

Jacob: Owner of Philly's New Safe Haven for Soul Expression- Cocoon Philly & Founding Member of Dance Medicine Philly, spends his time going back and forth between the concrete jungle of Philadelphia and the wild jungle of Costa Rica where he works with children, teens and adults while sharing the Solutions For Evolution philosophy. His classes are filled with enthusiasm and always incorporate a thoughtful spiritual theme that is weaved together into his fluid style of vinyasa that combines Asana, Qi Gong, Dance elements & Breathwork. You can be sure to walk away from a class feeling inspired with a liberated sense of your inner child!

Nicholas: A devoted Yoga practitioner & teacher, with a special passion for Kundalini yoga and Healing Arts. Recently he has moved back to Philly to collaborate with Cocoon Philly, after a decade of living & studying with his teachers on the West Coast. His classes are designed to feel more like going to church. Nicholas' core intention is connecting people together and opening up their hearts to feel the grace of life while at the same time guiding you deep into a meditative state of complete stillness, referred to as "Shuniya." His work and offerings are always held with the utmost reverence and devotion to the divine presence that dwells within all.

Both Jacob and Nicholas have dedicated the past 10 years to understanding their own Mind/Body/Energy connection and strive to share their personal insights and experiences into their workshops. Together they strike a unique balance between Stillness & Movement, Sacred & Silly, Yin & Yang and are eager to share their passion and purpose with you in this playground of a planet!

Food:

All Meals Are Included in the price! Our Chef Aaron “Mango” will be serving yummy fulfilling vegetarian dishes which includes Thursday Night Dinner, Friday & Saturday Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, and Sunday Brunch.

Camping/Lodging:

This is a "campout," specifically curated to keep you as close to nature as possible! Bring your own tent or hammock and pick between one of the 5 ponds or fresh running stream to make home for the weekend. Camper vans are welcome too! If camping isn't your thing, please message us and we can provide you with local lodging recommendations.
