Poranguí (Workshop Only) @ THE PALINDROME, PT TOWNSEND

Community Song Workshop at The Palindrome, Pt Townsend

(Concert is May 7 in Seattle with Andy Fischer-Price at Washington Hall)

Music is Medicine Workshop with Poranguí

Join master percussionist, musician, and healer Poranguí for a workshop that will help you rediscover the first and most intricate instrument: your own body. In this circle of rhythm, sound, and movement, we explore where voice, percussion, and Spirit meet. By connecting with our body's innate sound and cultivating expression in a celebratory container, we braid ourselves back into the fabric of life.

No experience necessary—this workshop welcomes all. Discover the joy of singing your soul, embodying rhythm, and serving the Music through your unique expression. Leave energized, whole, and more deeply connected.

Poranguí is a world-renowned musician, composer, and therapeutic bodyworker who blends ancestral sounds and indigenous rhythms from around the globe to foster our individual and collective well-being. Through his live performances, which he creates from scratch using looping technology, he takes his audiences on a sonic journey that ranges from meditative to exhilarating, moving the body and elevating the spirit. As he puts it, "My art is that of holding sacred space. The degree to which I can hold space musically or in silence, on a stage or with a client, determines if magic will happen. Whether we are dealing with the space between notes or the space between breaths, the healing power of my work happens when I get out of the way and allow Spirit to move through me."
