North Perth Dynamites - Year 5-6 Specialist Training Session.

Please arrive at 8:45am for a warm up with your coach.  Players will then be divided into the three key areas of Netball - Defence, Shooting or Mid-Court (as per Dynamite Coaches allocation).  The training will conclude at 10:am, but stay on for the other community events https://dynamitesnetballclub.com.au/game-on-robertson-park-open-day-17-may-2026/

Defence - Chanel Gomes

Chanel was joint winner of the 2010 Most Valuable Player at the 21/U national championships and was also named winner of the prestigious Gweneth Benzie Award that same year, which recognised the athlete at the Australian Institute of Sport that had the most potential to become a Diamond. Gomes represented Australia at the FastNet and Fast5 format in 2010, 2011 and 2012 before being called into the Diamonds team for the 2012 Quad Series, making her debut in the second game at Newcastle.  She was part of the Diamonds team that toured England in 2013.  The talented defender spent four seasons playing with West Coast Fever in the ANZ Championship.

Shooting - Kristie Leahy

Kristie is Advanced Accredited Netball Coach with over 25 years’ experience across clubs, WANL, and International competitions. She has coached women’s, men’s and mixed teams, celebrating premiership success and an international title along the way. She is passionate about developing people as much as performance, and is currently mentor coaches and work with PNA to support the growth of coaches and players across all age divisions.

Mid-Court - Janeen Martin

Janeen Martin is the current Perth Netball Association PIPPS Team 12.3 lead coach, a position she took on in 2025. She is also an academy coach for PNA. Janeen is a life member of Classics netball club where she was a division 1 player for many years and also a coach of various year 7-8 and year 9-12 teams. She is a Netball Australia Development Level coach.
