PACE: Participate, Advocate, Communicate, Engage

Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health are offering FREE 5 x 2-hour interactive Zoom workshops for migrant and refugee women in Victoria. The PACE (Participate, Advocate, Communicate, Engage) Leadership Program builds on migrant women’s knowledge and experiences to take on leadership roles in their lives, work and community.

Calling all migrant and refugee women* in Victoria!

PACE Leadership is for you if you have lived in Australia for less than five years, are looking for work or are re-entering workforce.

This program will support you to:

Gain confidence in yourself
Participate in your community
Improve communication skills
Advocate on issues that matter to you
Become a leader in your life and community

Migrant and refugee women*: women living in Australia who were born overseas, including non-binary, trans, and gender diverse people.

We welcome all migrant women from diverse cultural backgrounds, ages, careers, abilities, and English levels. If you have lived in Australia for over five years and are employed, but still find this program beneficial, you are encouraged to register.

What will you gain?

You will learn, practice, and receive feedback on topics including:

Communication
Public speaking
S.M.A.R.T goal setting
Teamwork and collaboration
Workplace rights and culture
Migrant women's issues
and many more!

PACE Leadership draws on your strengths to build on your learning needs. It is based on national and international recommendations for women’s leadership programming.

All participants will become part of the PACE Network. This network will connect participants with exciting events, resources and job opportunities. Participants will also receive a certificate at the end of the program.

2024 5-Day Program Schedule

Every Thursday for five weeks from 10 – 12 pm (All spots have been taken, please join the waitlist, we will release another 5-Day PACE Leadership training opportunity soon.)

We encourage participants to attend all of the sessions. We offer a one-off FAST PACE workshop for women who prefer a shorter program. To register to this workshop, visit here.

Please register for either the FAST PACE single program or the 5-Day PACE program.
