5 Elements Qi Gong practice is a meditative and invigorating qi gong which is based on Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) 5 elements theory. Each movement activates and massages the meridians, incorporating gentle breathwork and co-ordination of the whole structure, leading to: improved circulation, gentle stretch and strengthening of the body and joints, improve qi flow through meridian pathways, and a calmed nervous system from focussing the body and mind on slow, gentle movements.

In this session we will:

 - talk about 5 elements theory (hand-outs of main meridian and acupressure point diagrams and basic theory included)

- warm the body and loosen the joints

- examine and correct the posture

- practice self-massage to wake up the meridians

- practice zhan zhoung (standing meditation)

- learn the 5 elements form (Ziran Qi Gong) 

Jane McArthur (the instructor) has been teaching in Hobart for 2 years and studying and practicing Chinese martial arts for 10, so far. Read more here. She is looking forward to sharing this ancient practice, to empower you with simple tools to improve your mental and physical well-being.
