As part of the ACTIVE FEST 2023, Roundabout Circus brings to the community a series of free events that will allow you, your kids, friends, and family to practice circus skills and learn from experienced teachers and enjoy creative play together. We practice all flow toys, juggling, hula hoop, acro and unicycling. Our Active Fest events will include 3x SPIRAL Coast at Gosford, 3x Make your own equipment and Aerial workshops at Wyoming plus partnerships with Sunset sessions Woy Woy, 5 lands Winter Festival at Terrigal and Active Fest event at The Entrance.

This Saturday we are offering a free community circus playspace to activate Terrigal Haven in collaboration with 5 Lands Walk Winter Festival and with support and funding from Office of Sport NSW.

"Learn to juggle rings or hula a hoop, walk the slack-line, attempt the unicycle or try acrobalance with a friend. We have something for everyone, whether you are the acrobat, strongman or the clown."
Roundabout's Circus Play space allows people of all ages to join the circus without having to run away. With over 15 different activities on offer we can cater to all ages and abilities.

Alongside our circus playspace, we are lucky enough to have Marnie Lane providing a contact staff workshop for free as part of this program. Marnie is one of the top contact staff spinners in Australia and reknown around the world for her skills and unique style. This workshop is suitable for teens and adults, both beginner and intermediate. If you are advanced, come and jam with us afterwards.

Don't worry, we won't leave the kids out. Our very own Andy will run a flowerstick workshop for all ages. Flowersticks are a great prop that can be adapted for young kids to have fun but also provide a challenge for experienced spinners to play with. Wherever you are at, Andy can give you some tips and tricks to keep you in the zone.

2-5pm Circus Playspace for all ages and skills levels. Learn to spin a hoop or come and pass juggle with us. Find your flow
2:30-3pm Flowersticks workshop with Andy - adapted for beginner or intermediate skill levels

Teen & Adult
3:30-4:30pm Contact Staff Workshop with Marnie Lane - skills adapted to beginner or intermediate skill levels (min 13+)
Maximum 10 spaces available due to equipment capacity. If you have your own contact staff then please select the appropriate BYO ticket.

Spaces are limited so we encourage you to sign up in advance so you don't miss out. If spaces are available then we will take extra people on the day. You do not have to book for the playspace but you are welcome to book to find out about other events that we have coming up through Active Fest in June, July and August.

Workshop Risk Information

By booking the workshop you are acknowledging there are risks involved in the activity and that the participant is physically capable of undertaking the tasks. No prior experience or fitness level is required and tasks can be adapted for different abilities and limitations where required. If there are any prior injuries or physical limitations to participation, these must be communicated with the instructor.
