‘5 Little Birds and Other Little Things Outside My Doorstep’ workshop – Frances Loriente
Event description
You are invited to create a 2D or 3D artwork depicting local wildlife sourced from your personal experiences and photographs with local Laneway Gallery artist Frances Loriente!
Participants will develop skills in creating sculptural elements to a 2D canvas piece, through composition and collage while using colour, texture and shape to define and bring out form in an artwork by applying a combination of acrylic paint cardboard, paper and natural fibres that echo elements of the local environment.
Participants will also learn how to create small parts of a collective piece and receive the opportunity to exhibit their artwork in a group exhibition.
For people aged 12 years and over. All workshop participants under the age of 16 must have a guardian's consent.
No experience necessary. All materials provided. Feel free to bring a healthy snack as there will be a short break during the workshops tea and coffee provided .
