51st Annual AAC NAACP Freedom Fund Awards Banquet

The Anne Arundel County NAACP Branch 7008 will host its 51st Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Annapolis DoubleTree Hotel. The theme, “We, The People,” celebrates the NAACP’s longstanding commitment to civil rights, equality, justice, and community empowerment while supporting the Branch’s ongoing mission and programs.

Keynote Speaker

The keynote speaker will be Maryland House Speaker Joseline A. Peña-Melnyk, who represents District 21, Prince George’s and Anne Arundel Counties. She has served in the Maryland House of Delegates since 2007 and became Speaker of the House in December 2025.

Her participation brings a significant statewide perspective to this year's banquet and reinforces the event's focus on leadership, civic engagement, equity, and advancing the cause of justice.
