This 5 day 5Rhythms dance Spring challenge will recharge our energy, release winter stagnation, and ignite inspiration working with the transformative movement meditation practise of 5Rhythms dance held by a supportive sisterhood circle.

We will gather online for 5 mornings from Monday Sept 4 to Friday Sept 8 and begin with meditation, dance a 5rhythms wave and complete with meditation and a closing circle. You can join for one session or I encourage you to join for the full 5 days for maximum benefit. Recordings will be available for 48 hours if you can’t make the live session. Newcomers are welcome. This dance practise is accessible to all ages and abilities. You are encouraged to discover your own unique flow of movement from within.

5Rhythms dance is a transformative movement meditation that ignites creativity, healing and change. There are no steps to follow, you are invited to follow your own movememt from within, guided by a journey through the 5Rhythms movement map which follows a wave of energy mirroring nature. The 5Rhythms are flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. When we enter the flow of our own dance and shift our attention from thinking to moving, our mind begins to relax, and we enter a flow of energy that comes from within and the deeper dance of our heart and soul begins to open. Michelle Mahrer is an embodiment facilitator, certified 5Rhythms dance teacher and Dance Movement Therapist based in Sydney with over 25 years experience teaching in Australia and internationally.

Passionate about awakening the joy and healing power of authentic movement that comes from within, Michelle helps you release the thinking mind and come home to your body, to reconnect with your soul and essential nature, to experience deep connection to your intrinsic wholeness, intuition and self empowerment. She is a pioneer of Conscious Dance in Australia and a gifted community creator. Radiance Dance 5Rhythms birthed 12 years ago has blossomed into an expansive vibrant dance community offering weekly classes on Sunday mornings, dance retreats in nature, workshops, 1: 1 sessions and online classes. Over the last 3 years she has begun to specialise in womens work having witnessed during Covid the healing and transformative power of women only containers. She recently completed a Feminine Power Womens Transformational Facilitation Training with renowned US teacher Claire Zammit.

She is also an accomplished film maker and has created numerous films about dance including the cult classic “Dances of Ecstasy”, as well as Gabrielle Roth’s teaching videos - The Wave Series, and “A Quest To Heal Beyond the Physical about the healing power within us.
