About the Summit

Hosted by the Connectivity Innovation Network (CIN), the 5th Annual Australian Beyond 5G Connectivity Summit will bring together leaders from Australia’s telecommunications industry, research community and government, alongside technology innovators, to explore one of the defining shifts in next-generation connectivity: the rise of AI-native networks.

Under the 2026 theme, AI-Native Networks for Australia’s 6G Future, the Summit will examine how artificial intelligence is moving from a supporting capability to an integral part of how future networks are designed, operated, optimised and secured, and what this transition means for Australia as we move from 5G towards 6G.

Now in its fifth year, CIN’s flagship Summit provides a national forum for exploring the technologies, standards and strategies shaping the future of connectivity. It creates an important platform for sharing global insights, aligning national priorities, and strengthening collaboration among industry, government, and academia.

The 2026 Summit will be structured across two focused days:

Day 1: Industry Track

The Industry Track will focus on the opportunities and challenges AI-native networks present for operators, government, industry and end users.

Discussions will explore network transformation, AI-enabled operations, situational awareness, automation, resilience, monetisation, spectrum, standards and deployment pathways, with a strong focus on the priorities and practical considerations shaping Australia’s next generation of connectivity.

Day 2: Research Track

Wednesday 28 October 2026

The Research Track will showcase emerging research and technical advances underpinning the transition towards AI-native networks and 6G.

The program will explore advances in AI-native RAN, edge intelligence, digital twins, integrated sensing and communications, autonomous network management, security and trustworthiness, while creating opportunities for researchers and industry to exchange ideas and identify areas for future collaboration.

By connecting real-world industry needs with Australia’s research capability, the CIN Beyond 5G Connectivity Summit 2026 will provide a timely national platform for collaboration and discussion around Australia’s role in the emerging AI-native 6G era.

Tickets

Tickets are available for Day 1, Day 2, or both days.

CIN members, CIN governance members, NSW Government employees, and staff and students from CIN member universities can attend free of charge.

For all other attendees, tickets are:

One day: $110 per person
Both days: $165 per person

CIN hosts the Beyond 5G Connectivity Summit to share knowledge, encourage collaboration and strengthen connections across Australia’s connectivity ecosystem. All ticket fees are directed solely towards covering the costs of delivering the event.

Places are limited and the Summit has historically reached capacity, so early registration is encouraged.
