6. The Magic of Charcoal
Event description
This is a fun and inspiring drawing workshop that will push you into new directions and expand your charcoal drawing and mark making skills. The class starts with a series of structured exercises to encourage new ways to see and think about all the possibilities drawing with charcoal can offer.
Projects in this class explore the power and subtleties that can be achieved with both compressed and willow charcoal.
Drawing ideas demonstrated and taught will increase your knowledge about line, tone, composition and what to look for when developing your creative voice
Workshop is suitable to all levels of experience.

*Compressed charcoal
Willow charcoal
Conte charcoal pencil
*Sennielier soap eraser
*Pencil grip eraser
Kneadable eraser
A2 or A1 cartridge pad or drawing paper pad.
1 x 300gsm hot press or smooth grain, full sheet of watercolour or similar paper
General workshop supplies
- - Masking tape

- - Cutting Knife
- - Bull dog clips to attach paper to art board.
- - Disposable gloves and face mask
