FAQ's

When and Where

Starting Sunday 18th October 2pm Fairfield Skatepark, finishing with half session and prize giving November 22nd (Fairfield Community Hall)

Fundraising & Mechanics

How does the trick-based donation system work?

Once registered, your child gets a personalized online fundraising page link.  Family and friends can contribute in mulitples of six.

What if six tricks aren't achieved?

Six tricks is very achievable!  Almost every skater after one session knows 2 tricks and often 4 by the first session!  If 6 is not achieved, we will link the tricks that have been acheived into a consecutive routine of six tricks which will look and feel great!

Where do the funds go?

100% of campaign proceeds directly fund our new Skate School Trailer. This trailer will hold our obstacles,  gear, and maintenance kit, allowing us to bring skate programs to more youngins across Dunedin.

Is there a minimum fundraising target my child has to reach?

No! Every dollar counts toward our new trailer, and the primary goal is building confidence, having fun, and learning new skill

Program Details & Safety

What skill level is required to join?

All levels are welcome, from complete beginners learning to balance to skaters aiming to land new tricks. Our coaches tailor guidance to each child's current ability.

What equipment does my child need to bring?

We have back up skateboards and helmets if you're short on gear.  Pads (knee, elbow, and wrist guards) and closed toed shoes are strongly encouraged.

What happens if it rains on a Sunday session?

Safety comes first. If Fairfield Skatepark is wet or weather is rainy, we will notify parents via email/SMS by 10:30 AM on Sunday.

Are there refunds

We've deliberately kept the price low, making it accessible to all and factoring in that sometimes it rains, so refunds generally won't be given.

How are prizes awarded?

Prizes from Pavement and our sponsor brands will be awarded at our final session on November 22nd across multiple categories, including Most money raised, most Improved Skater, and most consistent Skaters, so every child has a shot at winning!
