6th Annual CRC Earth Day/ Birthday Bash
Description
6th Annual Earth Day/ Birthday Clean Up: Common Waters, Common Cause
For the last 56 years, people around the world have united on Earth Day to care for the planet we call home. For me, this day is doubly significant as it coincides with my birthday on April 21. Over the past 6 years, these celebrations have transformed into a powerful tradition of stewardship alongside friends, family, and neighbors.

As we kick off the season, we lean into the spirit of stewardship, community, and our common waters. This year feels especially momentous as we celebrate our local pride—the Conestoga’s designation as River of the Year. There is no better way to honor this recognition than by rolling up our sleeves together. After all, as we’ve said before: "Love is not say, love is do."

The Mission
We will be coordinating efforts across:
5 miles of roadway
3 miles of River
22 acres of Conservancy preserve
4 illegal dumping sites
3 community green spaces
Once signed in, volunteers will be directed to the shuttle area for transport to their designated work sites.
Post-Clean Up Celebration
One thing that remains a constant is our Post-Clean Up Social Lunch! Join us for pizza, refreshments, and birthday cupcakes immediately following the event. Even if you can't stay for lunch, please stick around for the group photo so we can document our collective impact.
“When we build, let us think that we build forever... let us think, as we lay stone on stone, that a time is to come when those stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them.”
