6th Position Presents - The Nutcracker in July! 2025
Event description
A ballet full of magic, mystery and Christmas spirit; whisk away those winter blues with this premier Canberra event.
This event includes a weekend of ballet performances of The Nutcracker In July for families and lovers of the ballet and theatre alike.
The wealth of experience from choreographers is extensive. We are lucky to have, as part of the team, ex-professional dancers Josef Brown from Sydney Dance Company, and Caitlin-Rae Crooke who has danced extensively in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, China, USA and Australia.
We hope you enjoy this production and come back for many years to come. Please share the experience with your friends and family.
Matinee shows have been created with children in mind, these shows will see a 30 minute interval and activities for children to do. The matinee show on Saturday 19th of July will be a sensory session, with quieter music, and low house lights to accommodate children (and big children) with sensory sensitivities.
Evening show is with adults in mind - children are still welcome to attend! Although this will have a 15 minute interval and no activities.
