82nd Anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea
2024 marks a continuing appreciation of the strong bond Australia shares with the United States of America and the Australian American Association - Canberra Division is proud to continue to organise initiatives that promote and foster our relationship.
Please join us to honour the 82nd Anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea. This year we are inviting the donation of history books to be laid in lieu of wreaths so that they can be distributed after the service to local schools. This will help ensure that future generations can understand how events in the past made things the way they are today. When booking your ticket, let us know if you'd like to donate and lay a history book (in lieu of a traditional wreath).
Once again, we're proud to have the Royal Australian Navy supporting the service with a catafalque party with the Royal Australian Navy Band.
Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the strong ties our two countries share and to re-engage with the local community, members from the diplomatic corps, defence & government representatives and, of course, our AAA members and mates.
