Event description

This screening is part of a fundraising campaign to end violence, homelessness, and suicide in Brisbane during the Mental Health Awareness Week 2021. Proudly sponsored by NetVault (Telephony, Internet, and Cloud) and Jirsch Sutherland Insolvency Solutions

A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood is an amazing movie with a great message of hope, faith, and love with a radical and authentic optimism in humanity.

Based on the true story of the American presenter Fred Rogers, the movie portraits the relationship between a male journalist going through his personal crisis, and Rogers. During the whole movie, Rogers keeps showing the young man that life is not all bad as he thinks it is. Rogers shows him that by engaging with silence and gratitude great things can still happen in this difficult and broken world.

When the session finishes, there will be a debrief about the challenges men are facing in today’s day and the main dots that connect with the movie.

All the proceeds of this event will go towards Counselling Men Project (CMP), a nonprofit with the vision mentioned before that offers in-depth counselling for the most vulnerable men in our city.

Learn more about CMP here: https://www.counsellingmenproj...

Come along, bring your friends, and enjoy the movie knowing that you are engaging in a good and worthy cause.

See you there.
