A Bullet for My Sweetheart by David Burton & Daniel Mulvihill

After discovering their respective partners are having an affair, an unhinged half-brother and sister hold them hostage at gunpoint. As police gather at their apartment doorstep, the two are forced to confront childhood secrets and come up with an impossible escape plan.

A two-hander, one act play, A Bullet for My Sweetheart is a brutal, dark comedy that explores the desperate extremes of familial and romantic love. It’s a distinctly Queensland tale, with a hint of Sam Shepherd and Martin McDonagh.
