A CLIMATE FOR CHANGE - AN UNCONVENTIONAL CONVENTION JULY 2022

Where: University of the Sunshine Coast (USC), Sippy Downs and a variety of field trip locations throughout the Sunshine Coast region.

The Unconventional Convention is a diverse multi-month program of events featuring a speakers and workshop program that includes climate scientists, academics, industry professionals, business, insurance, government and community and youth sector speakers exploring pathways to address the biggest issue facing society today, climate change. The program features various field trips showcasing emissions reduction technologies and climate mitigation projects throughout the Sunshine Coast region along with an engaging and immersive art and music program.

The Convention is hosted at USC and field trips will be undertaken at various locations throughout the broader Noosa and Sunshine Coast region. The Convention aims to engage a broad audience with a diverse range of opportunities for all to engage including music, art, science and community. The music and art program will feature local artists and their response to climate change impacts and highlight the need for urgent action across all sectors and levels of government.
